Hi, I’m Trenton!
I’m an epidemiologist working at the intersection of maternal and child health and systems biology. My research focuses on understanding the foundations of vulnerability during pregnancy and infancy, particularly in low- and middle-income settings.
I combine field epidemiology, clinical research, and multi-omics methods to study disease in the real-world setting, with a strong emphasis on translating biological insights into the developement of targeted therapeutics and nutritional interventions.
I completed my doctoral training at Action Against Hunger in Paris, where I led a multi-country study investigating phenotypic vulnerability in children with severe acute malnutrition. Since 2020, I have led the biomarker discovery portfolio within the Department of Food Technology, Safety, and Health at Ghent University.
I have over a decade of experience living and working across Africa and Asia.
You can find me at trenton@dailey-chwalibog.com 🥰
